SEAN O'HAGAN is mainly known as the writer, founder and arranger of THE HIGH LLAMAS. He is also a recording member of STEREOLAB working as an arranger. This will be Sean’s first ever solo Cardiff show and he will be performing music from ‘Radum Calls, Radum Calls’ and High Llamas catalogue, and will also be joined by Charlie Francis on stage.
Prior to this Sean founded MICRODISNEY with the late Cathal Coughlan, with whom he co-wrote the band's music throughout the 1980s.
As a freelance music arranger, Sean has worked with GILBERTO GIL, PAUL WELLER, SUPER FURRY ANIMALS, DOVES, GRUFF RHYS, IAN BRODIE, MILES KANE, ELZA SOUARES, VANESSA DA MATA, SONDRE LECHRE, FRANCOIS AND THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS, THE CHARLATANS, TIM BURGESS, ST ETIENNE and MARKER STARLING. He is currently working with THE CORAL, RAE MORRIS and FRYARS.
In 2017 Sean was commissioned by Hull City of Culture to write & perform "We Start Counting", a tribute to Basil Kirchin.
Sean has scored movie soundtracks (four with Tim Gane of STEREOLAB) and also collaborated with artist JEAN PIERRE MULLER on the Musical painting projects. He released second solo album 'Radum Calls, Radum Calls' via Drag City in Oct 2019.
