THE TUBS were formed in 2019 by Owen Williams and George Nicholls, formerly of much-loved Welsh pop band Joanna Gruesome. The two hunkered down in rural North Wales to expand on the fuzzy, hook-laden sounds they propagated in their former outfit, this time incorporating elements of post-punk, traditional British folk, and guitar jangle seasoned by nonchalant Cleaners From Venus-influenced pop hooks & contemporary antipodean indie bands (Twerps/Goon Sax, et al). TRUST FUND - was founded by Ellis Jones, joined by a rotating line up of musical friends. They released 4 albums across three years along with a split EP with Joanna Gruesome, signed to Turnstile Records, toured with Los Campesinos!, Speedy Ortiz and Mitski - before disbanding in 2018. Following their break up, Ellis published a book 'DIY Music And The Politics Of Social Media' and became a professor. In March 2022 he released a one-off track 'Can't Take It' as Trust Fund, then two more singles in late 2022, 'Capital' and 'Late Nite Skate'. TINY CAMELS is a musical project from brothers Joel & Ethan Hurst, joined by Jack Permintella and Dominic Griffin, who aim to bring power pop to the modern day. Formed in 2021 the band don’t see themselves as followers of trends and fashion, instead opting for a more upbeat, melodic, quintessentially British sound, in favour of 70s punk and 80s dance pop revivals. Tiny Camels aim to shake up a rather subdued indie-rock scene, offering a soundtrack to the everyday struggles of life with catchy choruses, infectious rhythms and shining guitars.
